Gordon Gecko once said "Greed Is Good",
but now we know "Green Is Better"!

Climate change work can get pretty heavy with all the bad news piling up.  So it is a breath of invigorating fresh air when a group brings together humor, education and community solutions.  Vox Bandicoot is an Australian group that does that.  They are offering a new Sustainability manual, games, video,... and hope.

Sustainability Street

The Sustainability Street® Approach is an innovative community development program, developed by Vox Bandicoot, which educates and engages community members in sustainable living practices and initiatives. The majority of Sustainability Street® graduates report three things.
  • The richness of new friendships and local connections.
  • Up to 30% reductions in waste, water and energy/greenhouse.
  • Participation in the creation extraordinary local projects such as community gardens, Sustainability Street® Parties, local welcome packs, community sustainability festivals.

Environmental Theatre

Vox Bandicoot create relevant, poignant, cutting edge, humorous eco-sustainability theatre presentation full of laughs, facts, interactive bits, tips and classic acting skills. What we are doing to our planet is chilling. Vox Bandicoot has developed a means of allowing people to both recognise this and move on to an appropriate response. We need to be inspired to improve, we need to laugh and relax and we need to know how to improve.

SeeOS™ • Sustaining environmental/economic Opportunities & Solutions

The SeeOS™ Approach is, in essence, a sustainability focused organisational development program, which has delivered fantastic economic, social and environmental outcomes for a wide range of blue chip companies (Ford, Bosch, Australian Arrow, etc, etc, etc.), water authorities and many, many local government councils.

The SeeOS™ Approach uses a wide range of tried and proven culture change tools to positively engage workplace culture into the challenges of sustainability. The program is designed to foster a more holistic approach to environmental sustainability, rather than hearing the comment “that’s one for the environmental department” time after time. The SeeOS™ program is also a great way of re-energising your environmental programs, or launching a new plan, EMS or project.

You may be interested to know that Vox Bandicoot has created a “carbon conscious economy”, Corporate Training simulation activity called Carbonopoly – Play Like You Own The Planet.  This simulation training experience fosters understanding by creating circumstances in which players develop strategies which blend offsets, true cost analysis, Cap and Trade parameters, carbon taxing implications, etc.  The “game” was developed and trailed in collaboration with senior management and Board of South East Water Limited.

SustainabilitySt.: It's a Village out There
